Jolie was instantly captivated by the space, according to John Roesch, the broker at Meridian Capital Group representing the landlord. Describing her enthusiasm, Roesch stated that Jolie "made sure she got this deal." The actress has plans to establish Atelier Jolie in the space, envisioning it as a global community of talented and underrepresented tailors exclusively working with upcycled items.

 

Atelier Jolie aims to foster a collaborative environment for creative individuals, transcending socio-economic barriers. Jolie expressed her vision for the space on the Atelier Jolie website, highlighting its role as a hub for creative inspiration and a place to have fun.

 

While the exact leasing terms and price remain undisclosed, the 6,600-square-foot building was listed for $60,000 per month, with a minimum lease term of 10 years. Jolie exhibited a hands-on approach throughout the negotiation process, personally visiting the space multiple times over six months. Despite facing competition from other interested parties, it was ultimately decided that Jolie's concept aligned best with the building's purpose and potential use.
