opening of River Ranch County Park, a pristine oasis nestled at 194 Reveille
Way. Get ready for a spectacular weekend on July 22-23 filled with special
events and activities that will leave you enchanted!
From 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. both
days, the park opens its gates to the public for a delightful experience.
Delight your taste buds with a variety of food trucks and refreshment vendors
on-site. As a bonus, the Williamson County Chapter of the Native Plant Society
of Texas will be offering plant giveaways, so you can take a piece of nature
home with you. For those seeking an exhilarating adventure, guided horse rides
will be available in the mornings from 8:30 a.m., on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
Prepare to be amazed as the
Sun City Hiking Club, Master Naturalist, and the River Ranch County Park
Friends group will be present to share fascinating information about the park.

As part of the county's 175th
birthday celebration, the Williamson Museum will be joining the festivities on
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the park's interpretive center, you'll have
the opportunity to immerse yourself in pioneer activities. Try your hand at
butter churning, experience wash day chores, explore the pioneer camp, and
discover the art of dipping candles. Younger visitors can enjoy a paper seed
craft, and everyone will be enlightened by information on cedar choppers,
adding depth to your experience.
Spread across an expansive
1,354 acres, River Ranch County Park boasts a diverse landscape of meadowlands,
woodlands, hills, and escarpments, making it a treasure trove for nature
enthusiasts. The park has something for everyone, including a playground and
pavilions for picnics and gatherings. Embark on thrilling adventures with
camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and bird-watching opportunities that
abound.
Be sure to visit the
approximately 4,800 square foot interpretive center, which will soon feature

River Ranch County Park
welcomes visitors daily, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with incoming traffic gates
closing at 9 p.m. Don't miss out on this incredible experience! Admission is
just $4 for adults, $2 for adults aged 65 and older, and free for children aged
